So I sent one of my favorite undergraduate professors, Dr. Laurie, an email today about the anniversary of the National Security Act, and we got to talking about Truman and, somehow, Jim Morrison.

The last thing he wrote to me was: “you’re a scholar after my own heart”

THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE. 

Seriously though, he is one of the best professors I have ever had and his war courses were just the best.
